Individual therapy is one of the main psychotherapies utilized within addiction treatment. During individual therapy sessions, clients will interact with licensed and trained counselors to work through underlying issues that may be contributing to their drug or alcohol addiction. Individual therapy takes place on a regular basis within a treatment program and can be a great asset in the discovery and treatment of co-occurring disorders. Clients are able to confidently and privately discuss their progress within the treatment and will receive appropriate feedback and learn tools that can help them in their sobriety journey.
Group therapy sessions give clients the ability to speak with others who may be able to relate to what they are going through and the experiences they are having within their treatment program. Group therapy can provide clients with different perspectives on the issues they may be experiencing and allows them to give feedback and advice to others.
During individual and group therapy sessions, clients will interact with licensed and trained counselors to work through underlying issues that may be contributing to their drug or alcohol addiction.
During trauma-informed therapy sessions, clients are able to talk with a specialist who accounts for their past trauma and the way it may have affected their thinking, behavior, and ability to interact with treatment.
